My First Solo Video upload

This video is nothing cool or science-y - just a first attempt at recording myself, uploading to YouTube and working with the file though some of the other web applications and software that we are exploring for this course. Be kind......

Great Caryn! It was easier than I thought too. Let me know if you need help though - I'm happy to share my limited knowledge.

That was great! How did you embed it in your blog?

After you have uploaded the video to YouTube there is a place on the upload screen that gives you the link and the embed code. Copy and paste the code right into your blog posting, as you would writing any other text. Then WHA LA the video should appear as a neat little package.

Also, you can do this with any video from YouTube (any many other things) - practice embedding any YouTube video by copying and pasting the code from the video you are watching....there is a 'embed' button at the bottom of the video that gives you the code. It will be long and look nasty - but give it a whirl!

Can you embed video without first uploading to YouTube (or some other site)? To me, that would be even better, but I don't know if it's possible. Man, my students are SO far ahead of me on this stuff.

Weather Boy - I don't know about getting the embed code other than first uploading it online somewhere.....it would not surprise me if there was a way though.....let us know if you figure it out.
